D&B Analysis on German payment behaviour in Q3: Crisis? What crisis?

The payment behaviour of German companies remains on a high level. The cconomic cycle boosts payment morale in crafts, the building industry and the transportation segment.

The financial woes in the Eurozone and the still very nervous financial markets could not impact the payment behaviour of German companies in the third quarter of 2011. Most companies still do very good business, which is reflected by their good liquidity. In the third quarter, 87.52 percent of German companies paid their bills in due time - an increase by 0.12 percent compared to the second quarter (87.4 percent). Average delay of payments is 6.9 days - still a very low level and half a day better than in the previous quarter.
