D&B F1 Index: Financial Check on the Formula 1 Racing Teams for the season 2010
Red Bull: Dominating the circuit, just average in the index / Williams: Privately owned team is top scorer / Mercedes-Benz GP: Profitable in the future with new sponsors / Quo vadis Lotus, Virgin and HRT?
The financial behaviour of almost all Formula 1 racing teams has deteriorated to the start of the 2010 season. This is the result of an analysis by business information provider D&B. The annual index, compiled for the third time, shows: High investments are a burden, especially for the balance sheets of the top teams. Only Williams and Toro Rosso show improvements compared to last year - thanks to a strict cost management. With this, the privately owned Williams team reaches a top score of 100 points in the D&B F1 Index and gathers the pole position. Williams is followed by Sauber (96 points), also privately owned, Toro Rosso (92), Mercedes-Benz (85) and Red Bull (83).
