Analysis of D&B Germany: Contract awarding by public authorities is intransparent
The way public authorities in Germany are selecting suppliers and contractors is not very transparent. This is the result of a survey conducted by business information provider D&B Germany. Surveyed academic experts and industry insiders specially criticized the transparency of selection criterias applied for contract awarding where formal bidding is not required. The majority of the surveyed experts see the need to improve the Risk Management of Procurement Departments of Public Sectors.
